Works for Violin and Piano (F. Eichhorn, R. D. Arens)
Kód: RD1886Detailní popis produktu
Friedemann Eichhorn is a German violinist with the unique gift of projecting into different musical idioms. That versatility was first demonstrated in the release of two successful disc of Tango arrangements, and now, his mastery of the late Romantic style is showcased in the current program of music by Liszt. While generally not known as a composer of chamber music, Liszt wrote music for violin and piano throughout his career. While several pieces are arrangements of songs or works originally composed for piano solo, many are original compositions and explore the same stylistic explorations that can be found in Liszt's more famous compositions - including the use of folk materials, harmonic and melodic experimentations and cyclical forms. These pieces have hardly appeared so far on CD, and a second disc, including the remainder of Liszt's works for violin and piano, is planned for 2011, in celebration of the composer's 200th birthday.
